Crusades

Tellurics were a pagan sect that rose to prominence during the middle ages (800 – 1200). They refused to adopt the Christian beliefs and instead followed beliefs of the power of nature. Their name stems from their beliefs that all power stems from the Earth itself. Little is known of them today, as the Church has tried to eradicate all knowledge they ever existed. Tellurics were persecuted in the Crusades for heresy. They were found, burned, tortured, and ultimately killed. Texts were destroyed and lore spoken of at the threat of hanging.
